Wow it has been a very long time since I posted here last. Considering the last time I posted was about a year and 2 months ago I figured I might as well update it for the hell of it.
Alot has changed in that year and 2 months, I'm no longer married (and as of January 27th the paperwork goes through on that making me a divorced man legally), and I am no longer working at Brandsmart. Some things have gotten wierder, but to be honest all of it has been pretty good. I can actually say I'm a happier person right now than I used to be.
Anyways I had to make this post because I'm sick of always logging on and seeing my last post. Not that it upsets me, I'm literally just tired of seeing it =D

Happy Gobble-Gobble day everyone! Hopefully everyone is having a great time with their families and what-not on this festive occasion, and is thankful to be able to.
I for one am thankful for an awesome drink called Caribou-lou. I am however not thankful for having had some last night, as it has made today really really trippy for me.
151 rum, pineapple juice and malibu, caribou get them all numb. Man thats the truth.
Anyways everyone enjoy their turkey days and whatnot. |

Well once again I have let my journal go blank for many a week, month, etc. And its time for an update, a pretty decent one if I do say so myself.
Most of you already know this, in fact...probably all of you do, but on Thursday the 25th of October, 2007, I got married.
I am now a married man. I am married to one Amanda Michelle Dephillips and I am about the happiest I've been in a long time. Many of you are probably confused as to why I would do this, and all I can really say is that when you know, you know.
So far this first day of marriage has been really interesting, we are making out plans to move out on our own and get our lives together started. Thanks to everyone that made it out to hang out with us last night on the night of our wedding, it was about as short of notice as you can get! ^_^
Well thats the update, everything else in my life is pretty much the same, still work at Brandsmart, still playing WoW (not in kara yet..lame), oh and I did start playing Magic again, but luckily my wife plays with me (FUCKING HOT). |

I really don't know why, but I love this song.

Ok so here is the deal. I know the book came out in Germany already. I know there are spoilers out there. If anyone on my friendslist is thinking about being cute and posting spoilers recognize the fact that I'm an angry 260lb 6'5 Italian man before you do it.
A) If you post a spoiler and I don't read it, you are off my friends list.
B) If you post a spoiler and I do read it. Hope I don't know where you live. I will get Italian on your ass (and I'm not joking about this. At all. )

Wow I haven't written to this thing in almost a year. Wierd. Well quite a few things have changed since then I suppose. I am no longer working for officemax. I now work at brandsmart as a salesman. Also i'm finally upgrading my computer.

Today has been pretty exciting for me, my new G6 Lite (www.g6flash.com) came in, and it wasn't supposed to till tomorrow. This thing is amazing, 4 gigs of space on a mini-gba card that fits perfectly into a Nintendo DS Lite. You plug it into its USB Cradle, and connect it to your system and you can put nearly anything on it:
Nintendo DS Roms (not that I would)
SNES Roms
Genesis Roms
NES Roms
Movies (it has a conversion program)
GBA Roms
And it all plays directly off of your Nintendo DS Lite.
The only downplay is that I have to buy a Passme/No pass flash device (another $50 on top of the $116 I already spent) if I want to run Nintendo DS Roms off of it (not that I ever would, because that is all very illegal and wrong), but as far as playing Movies (which is the only thing I'm doing) |

| My 4 hours at Dragon*Con |

So yesterday was rather eventful, went to sleep about 5am the previous morning just to wake up at 7:30am to catch MARTA to go visit Dragon*Con.
After working our way through the endless (and totally unneccesary at this point) maze they had at the Registration line, Beth and I pay our $60 for our passes, and head out into the con.
Well after about 2 hours of hard work getting there, we work our way up to the ONLY attraction we came to see at D*C this year, Stanislov-whats-his-name (the dude that plays Victor Krum). Turns out two things happened.
1) D*C doesn't know how to update their website properly
2) Stanislov cancelled.
So needless to say we were pretty pissed to start out.
Now being a veteran of Cons (not D*C, but many others), I figured out a way to smooth over things, and in the end we had a pretty good time there.
After leaving the con a good friend of mine called up and wanted to know why we'd left, after all why goto a Con for only 4 hours? Seems like a waste of money. Well here is the deal (and I finally realized this last night)
D*C has the following to offer me:
1>) Harry Potter (which D*C was lacking completely)
2>) Stargate (which of course I partook of greatly in those 4 hours)
3>) Anime..ANIME...ANIME...
4>) Magic the Gathering
Thats it. 4 things. I am a major geek don't get me wrong, but standard generic geek-cons just don't do it for me.
So I think from now on I will stick to Neko-Con, Otakon,Possibly Gate-Con and of course AWA. I mean in the 4 hours I was at Dragon-Con I spent nearly $60 on Anime stuff, and that was it.
Anyways in retrospect I had a pretty good time, and totally look forward to AWA later this month. |

| Wow it has been forever! |

Well noticing that some of my friends here are finally posting updates, I felt left out. Here are a few of the going-ons in my life:
- This week I've worked around 8 days in a row, and will continue to work for the next 5 days with no break. Good hours though, and being Tax-Free weekend my sales are through the roof. Plus OMax decided it'd be a good idea to give out a scratch-off for every Maxassurance or Credit Card we sold; God I love my job sometimes! ^-^
- Been getting ready to go back to school. Doesn't happen till September, and I'm not even registered for classes, but I have alot of prep to do. Plus I'm still deciding which school I want to goto after this quarter is up. I have to know by the end of september if I want to transfer to KSU, GSU, or maybe even W. GA (probably not), but these are things I need to know. I'm going out to talk to someone at KSU next week.
Still not sure about my Major, but then again it seems nobody is. One of my friends decided that he would switch from Biology major (focusing on becoming an MD) to a business degree. He wants to get an MBA, which is what my goal is as well, but the problem is that there are so many to choose from that I'm not sure which is best for me.
The pharmacist idea is basically dead; I mean I'd love the pay, but I've never had a chem class in my life so I'm not sure if I can handle it. We'll just have to see I suppose.
So everybody that needs anything electronic this weekend should come on down to OfficeMax in woodstock (especially if you are a teacher as we are the only office store actually giving out good deals for Teachers). Plus as several customers have pointed out, we're NOT BestBuy.
That seems reason enough for most people to shop with us =D |

So, another update. I really am trying to update as often as possible, but to find the time is nearly impossible. Lately I've actually been going out and doing some stuff. It's very weird. Later this month I'm going to a Lan party hosted by some Cyberathlete group and BAWLS, and then in Aug. I decided that I need to get back to my roots, so I'm going to a Mountasia Lock-In to play DDR till 6 in the morning. I think I need to practice some more before it though, as I could barely pass a 7ft song the last time I played =[
This past week I've also been working out, which is very weird for me. I'm trying to go Jogging as often as I can (hopefully I will get a routine down soon enough), and I need to join a Gym as well. Probably with the fucking love of my life, Beth; who, while being awesome and perfect and totally everything in my world..also has a bad habit of reading my LJ posts as I write them (perched from above as though on my shoulder no less) <3
Oh yeah I bought a new phone too! Nokia 6255i. At this point I've spent over $580 on cell phones this past year (fucking Metro) but seeing as how I used over 134 Hours on my last phone in the 3 months I owned it, I really need their service. The phone isn't too terrible, Bluetooth, IrDA, MP3 Player, Mp3 ringtones (durf), giant screen (and GIGANTIC front screen). The only reason i don't feel terrible having spent twice the cost of a RAZR on this single phone is the fact that it does animated Mini-Screen backgrounds. Something almost no phones do, and something TOTALLY not worth the price (but let me live my fantasy). |
